I just hope we get a hefty core upgrade by the end of the year.Although video game emulation has been a popular pastime for gamers with an itch for retro gaming experiences, the prospect of downloading multiple pieces of software just to play old games isn’t all that alluring to casual fans of the hobby. When it comes down to it all, it only takes me 10 - 30 seconds longer to load up non OE emus so I don't mind. The rest are completely trivial to me except maybe the MAME arcade games and a handful of Atari games. I use other emulators for Sega CD, N64, Playstation, and PSP. I use it for the following: GB, GBC, GBA, DS, GG, NES, SNES, GEN and 32X. It would be so much easier to just load OpenEmu up and go into the preferences and choose the directories where your specific bios files are.Įveryone uses OpenEmu a little differently. I do have a suggestion though: give the user the ability to tell OpenEmu where to find specific bios files and rom files (yes I know they are completely different things), rather than having to find everything. I can still emulate those four consoles without OE anyways. I don't want to waste days and weeks trying to fix things when I can just be patient for the devs to update the main version of OpenEmu with more cores. You can verify you have the new version by going to OpenEmu > Preferences > Cores and looking for PPSSPP 1.2.2.1. Don't expect Mupen64Plus to be any better than Sixtyforce. Currently, not all N64 games will get picked up depending on the type of ROM dump but they will still play if the emulator supports them. I've been using sixtyforce but #1-I can't stand the constant watermark and #2-a LOT of games DON'T work with it. It's only showing one of my 33 N64 roms, Army Men Sarges Heroes.

Also, when I dragged my Sega CD roms into OpenEmu, it put all but 1 of them into Sony PSP for some reason.? I normally use Fusion352i on my Mac running OSX Mavericks and it runs Sega CD just fine. I have all the BIOS files which I threw into the Game Library folder and Sega CD folder but still nothing. I downloaded the experimental version and still can't play Sega CD games.
